The Utilities and Right of Way Engineering team works closely with agencies and developers alike to provide easement and property rights experts. We have the ability to work with everyone from the design engineers to the maintenance and construction personnel in relocating and rebuilding facilities or maintaining existing rights of way.
OPC has the capability to inventory the agency’s facilities and easements, inspect the existing rights of way for encroachment and contact the property owners that are encroaching into the rights of way prior to construction or just for required maintenance. OPC will negotiate and oversee the removal of encroachments impeding the reconstruction or maintenance of the utility and work with the agency’s legal department regarding encroachment issues that cannot be resolved in a timely manner. We have the ability to plot legal descriptions, prepare plan and profile drawings and prepare agreements under the direction of the client’s legal counsel.
