|
Barry McDaniel, CEO of OPC, was asked by the executive directors of the California Redevelopment Association and the California League of Cities to appear before the California Senate’s Local Government Committee in support of California Assembly Bill 887 sponsored by Assemblyman Hector De La Torre of South Gate.
On July 11, Barry, along with Anne Moore, Executive Director of the City of Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Association, testified in support of AB 887. This bill is tied with ACA 8, a constitutional amendment excluding owner-occupied single-family homes, condominiums, town homes and duplexes from an agency’s powers of eminent domain. |
