OPC a Part of High Speed Rail Future in California |

The first segment of the high speed train project will soon start construction in California’s Central Valley. Overland, Pacific & Cutler (OPC) is currently providing professional right of way services, such as cost estimates, risk identification and securing Rights of Entry for another segment of the California High Speed Rail, the Palmdale to Los Angeles Segment. We are analyzing over 4,000 parcels to determine real estate interests and impacts to the affected properties.
With rising oil prices, urban congestion and concerns about global warming, public transit is looking like a real alternative to many Americans. As part of 2009’s landmark American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), the White House committed $8 billion to efforts to create and maintain high speed intercity passenger rail service. And just weeks ago, after calling for giving 80 percent of Americans access to high speed rail within 25 years, the federal administration pledged another $53 billion to increase the nation’s network of high speed rail lines to 16,000 miles by the middle of the century.
OPC is proud to be a part of this breakthrough project which will allow the US to catch up in this vital transportation technology with the current leaders in the countries such as China, Japan, France, Spain and Germany. OPC is a top provider of comprehensive right of way services for large transportation projects, and is committed to an ongoing participation in this project.
