In late February and early March, OPC hosted a series of very successful seminars on Business Relocation. We had great audiences in Los Angeles, San Diego, Oakland and Sacramento. Mark La Bonte, SR/WA, Jerry Colburn, R/W-RAC and Rich Hodges, ASA from DM&A spoke in all four cities. They were joined by Michele Folk, SR/WA, Vince McCaw and David Richman, R/W-RAC in their locales.
These sessions were designed for developers, engineers and public agency staff involved in projects with retail, commercial or industrial relocations. The OPC and DM&A facilitators covered rules and regulations, state and federal guidelines, advisory and monetary assistance, fixtures and equipment, complex commercial and industrial moves, pitfalls and innovative solutions, loss of business good will and limiting agency exposure to goodwill claims.
