A good turn-out and plenty of questions at the recent IRWA class, “Residential Relocation Assistance – Course 501,” contributed to an informative two days of learning about residential relocation. Approximately 20 attendees, namely from government agencies, participated in the two-day, 16 CEU-credit course held at the Metropolitan Water District in downtown LA. Thank you again to IRWA Chapter 67 for your hospitality and for inviting OPC SVP Michele Folk, SR/WA, R/W-RAC, RW-URAC, R/W-NAC, to teach the class. Michele’s been teaching this course for several years but “always enjoys when someone takes the class as a course requirement for CEU credit only, but after two days ends up loving it and wanting to do relo as part of his/her job.” “Residential Relocation Assistance” includes topics such as replacement housing payments for residential owners and tenants; mobile homes; last resort housing; advisory assistance; moving payment; and filing claims and appeals. OPC executives Darryl Root and Chad Wakefield will also be teaching upcoming industry classes in April. More information to come.
