Michele Folk, SVP to teach IRWA Class

OPC’s Michele Folk, SR/WA, R/W-RAC, R/W-URAC, R/W-NAC, will teach IRWA Course 501 – “Residential Relocation Assistance” at the Metropolitan Water District in downtown L.A. on March 20 and 21, 2019.  Topics for this 2-day intermediate course include:

Meet Marty Zvirbulis, PE, the new Chief Operations Officer at OPC

OPC welcomes Marty Zvirbulis! Marty was recently appointed Chief Operations Officer for OPC. With extensive experience as a civil engineering and water resources executive, Team OPC is excited that Marty has joined forces with us for the next exciting phase of his career. For the past 20+ years, he directed regional water infrastructure programs and groundwater management for the Cucamonga Valley Water District (CVWD) in the Chino, Cucamonga, and Rialto groundwater basins. Marty held several executive leadership positions over the course of his career at CVWD, most recently serving as General Manager/Chief Executive Officer. In this role, he managed all district operations, including building effective, high-performing leadership teams and organizational alignment through training, coaching, mentoring, and identifying and exceeding organizational metrics.

“We are very excited to welcome Marty to the OPC team,” said Brian Everett, OPC’s Chief Executive Officer. “Marty is a highly-respected water resources engineer with the leadership, vision and people management skills vital to ensuring OPC’s continued operational growth and success for years to come.”

A licensed Professional Civil Engineer in the state of California, Mr. Zvirbulis, his wife and grown children are lifelong residents of Long Beach, CA. He also earned his Bachelor of Science degree in engineering at California State University, Long Beach.

A Birds-Eye View of OPC’s Work on Centennial Corridor in Bakersfield, CA

Before a highway can be built, before pavement can be laid – land must be chosen, cleared, and prepped. OPC is excited to be part of the team laying the groundwork for our nation’s highways and infrastructure. Together with Parsons, we managed the right of way services for the Centennial Corridor Improvement Project for the City of Bakersfield. OPC handled project management, acquisition, relocation assistance, appraisal review, right of way engineering, environmental investigations, and property management. for the $720 million project.  Video credit to KERO-TV (ABC) in Bakersfield, CA.
