OPC was selected by the Transportation Agency of Monterey County (TAMC) to provide acquisition and relocation services for the Agency’s Commuter Rail Extension project. The project’s purpose was to improve the connections between Pajaro, Watsonville, and Salinas to the Cal Train facilities in Gilroy. In addition, the rail extension improves commuter access, provides alternatives to traffic congestion, expands transportation options for the elderly, young, and disabled, and promotes economic development around the train stations. The project is subject to Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and Caltrans oversight.
OPC is providing real estate acquisition services including the full and partial acquisition of over 20 parcels and the permanent relocation of approximately 9 businesses, 1 residential hotel, and multiple personal property moves. In addition, OPC is providing associated project management services and is preparing the required Real Estate Acquisition Management Plan (RAMP) and the relocation plan.
