TxDot awarded OPC a Right of Way Acquisition Services contract covering project management and administration, title and closing, appraisal, appraisal review, negotiation, condemnation support, relocation assistance, and disposition of surplus property. OPC has performed on nearly $2M of services under this contract.
FM 66 at East Fork Greathouse Branch, Design-Bid-Build. In an ongoing effort to enhance state roadways and improve safety, TxDOT approved three projects to replace bridges and their respective approaches. One of the three projects is a $3.4 million bridge replacement and approach improvement on FM 66 at the East Fork Greathouse Branch. OPC provided management, negotiations, and title curative services for 9 partial acquisitions of rural property. OPC successfully negotiated and closed all 9 parcels in 7 months resulting in 100% acquisition by close of escrow. OPC successfully handled complicated title clearance issues to cure during closing.
IH 20 at 360, Design-Bid-Build. TxDOT approved the construction of an interchange improvement and feeder road at the interchange of I20 and SH 36 in Grand Prairie to enhance and improve safety. The project impacted 24 properties and resulted in the relocation of six businesses, 2 families, and a billboard. OPC handled the negotiations, title curative and closings, relocation assistance, and eminent domain coordination.
FM 3549 IH 30 to SH 66, Design-Bid-Build. TxDOT’s construction of two additional travel lanes, sidewalks, utility corridors, and controlled-center medians was supported by OPC’s right of way service efforts on the project. OPC handled the management, acquisition, relocation, and eminent domain coordination for 39 properties, including 4 residential relocations.
